Teen Drama

If you are one of the unfortunates who have never felt the magic of Degrassi's teen conflict, you are not alone. It has always been a mission of mine to convert those people obsessed with Gilmore Girls or Beverly Hills 90210 or even Saved by the Bell into Degrassi worshiping dolts. Apologies to my Canadian readers (they prolly need no explanations) but those of you still not convinced, get The N from your cable company as soon as possible. This show has everything you need. Though it seems things are winding down, half the cast is now in college and the others are soon to graduate, this season has brought home the drama. In a series that has included every subject under the sun, venereal disease to homophobia, eating disorders to rape and cocaine habits, the murder of J.T. tops them all.

Killing off a character that has gone from a lovable Screech-esque class-clown to an Oxycotin dealing daddy, may signal doomsday, but I'm getting over it, and hoping the writers have even more wince-inducing twists hiding in their brilliant minds.
